Seit seiner Geburt ist Phil L. Herold an Spinaler Muskelatrophie Typ II erkrankt, was zum Verlust der motorischen Fähigkeiten und Muskelschwund führt. Die Ärzte prophezeien ihm eine Lebenserwartung von maximal drei Jahren. Doch Phil hat einen unbändigen Willen zu leben, entgegen aller Prognosen. Er macht eine Ausbildung zum Medien-Designer, lernt weltberühmte Musiker kennen und begleitet sie auf ihren Tourneen, fotografiert, arbeitet als Motivationscoach, Model, Autor, Produzent und Regisseur. Heute geht er auf die Vierzig zu und hat als Künstler internationale Anerkennung gefunden. Seine am Computer entworfenen Bilder befinden sich in namenhaften Galerien in Berlin, New York und Los Angeles, sowie in Privatsammlungen unter anderem von Sting, Leonardo DiCaprio, Snoop Dogg und Franz Beckenbauer. Er arbeitet in seinem Atelier in München und pendelt zwischen seinem Refugium in Tann (Niederbayern; Lkr. Rottal-Inn) und den USA hin und her. In BIGGER THAN LIFE erzählt Phil L.
